String Art Workshop

I can't believe this was our last string art class of the year!!! But what a way for this craft to go out!  We had the sweetest group of women who talked, laughed, and shared some wonderful stories about concerts, moving and marriage!

The workshop tables were flooded with colored midcentury art glass from G3QDesigns.  We also had amazing rainbow rice AND, the crowns are back!!! Both thanks to our lovely and generous friend Katie!!! We introduced some new designs at this workshop too!  Initials with antlers, a heart with California inside of it as well as a beautiful single antler!

If you weren't able to make it to one of these workshops you definitely need to give String Art a try at home!

We are currently working on our January calendar.  What workshops would you like to see?  Until next time!

String Art: Getting Stringy With It

Our string art workshop was a blast!  This group of ladies knew how to have a good time, that's for sure!  (In fact, we had such a good time I didn't get pictures of our Jalapeno infused Moscow Mules or black cherry desserts!  You can check out the recipe for the Kickin Mules here though!)

For the art, we choose between four patterns: California, LOVE, RAD, and a charming feather.  Each student painted their boards and it was awesome to see their creativity in choosing colors & finishes.  Thank you ladies for an awesome evening!  And look at the finished product!

Basic Woodworking: Moscow Mules + Power Tools

We were both so pumped for this workshop and it didn't disappoint!  The students braved the rain on Saturday night and learned to use a miter saw, jig saw, power drill, and hammer!  The result: A killer diamond-shaped, wall-mounted jewelry holder with a copper rod.  No sitting around watching paint dry either.  In between power-tool steps we pulled up stools to our bead bar to create one-of-a-kind tasseled necklaces - the perfect summer accessory!
This is a workshop we are already putting on the books again - look out in September for Moscow Mules + Power Tools, Part Deux (class size limited)!

Tying the Knot: A Macrame Workshop

We were so honored to host a surprise macarme workshop for a very special bride!  In thinking of a project, macrame seemed to fit the bill!  Knots, rings, and lots of fun.  You ladies were so much fun!

Congratulations Angel and Nicholas!  Best Wishes from Skills + Frills!
