SF: City By the Bay

We were so excited to have the opportunity to host a workshop at Workshop in San Francisco!  The studio space did not disappoint!  It was filled with beautiful, quirky, odd items and stocked with some hardcore DIY machinery! While we were hosting our dream catcher chalk art workshop they conducted a sewing class, a terrium making workshop in the garden, and even had a pizza class where they grilled pizza on BBQs on the streets of San Francisco.  Our creative hearts be still!!! {Check out a full calendar of their events here.}
A sneak peak at our blue inspired kits.  Fortunately for us Kelly from Wild Whim Design + Photography made the trip! Many, many photos of the workshop to come.
The bow crowns are probably my favorite to date!
Now what does a LA girl have to do when she goes into Giant's territory.
Slip in some subliminal blue and white!  Oh yeah....it's exactly what we were thinking!

We promise to get the photos of the workshop to you soon! Stay tuned for upcoming workshop dates for Westlake Village and Laguna Beach!  We are drumming up a special workshop for Moms and Daughters that you don't want to miss!

Getting Ready: Chalk Art Dream Catcher Workshop

Getting ready for our January workshop.  We've got chalk art dream catchers on the agenda and we cannot wait!!!

Thank you Little Homes and Big Hearts for the cute idea for these rulers! Were going to need these for letter spacing on our chalk boards!

We made the crowns with a little extra Love for this Valentines Day themed workshop!

Boxes were topped with a few feathers dipped in glitter and dipped in 3M Washi tape.  Simple and sweet!

We made a few templates along with some examples of font to inspire!

Get your guns ready and let's get ready to craft!  Until tonight!

December: Wrap and Wreath Workshop

Our December Wrap + Wreath Workshop was a blast!!! We learned how to make wreaths using live greens and how to accent them to make all-year-round.  We also learned how to create tassels for wrap or to use as a key chain, how to wrap with fabric and we even wrapped keychain rings!  We can't forget the hand-made marbleized paper and the steps on how to recreate it at home!

Thank you to everyone who attended!  You made our holiday that much sweeter!
In an effort to minimize waste and to just be even craftier we made the centerpieces out of the greens that everyone used for their wreaths.  The kits were topped with pompoms that would later serve as wrapping and the tassel name tag doubled as a necklace!
This centerpiece ended up going into people's wreaths as well!
Special holiday crowns were passed out to each Skills + Frills guest!
Deconstructing the kit!
Awesome wreath themed cake pops were provided by Rachel Metz of Tickle Me Sweet!

Thank you again ladies! Your wreaths turned out incredible!!!
